Save the Dates
WHEN DO YOU SEND THEM?
We recommend sending your Save the Dates 9-12 before your wedding.
Sending Save the Dates is a way to inform your guests of your wedding date in advance. They typically include high-level information like the date and location. Do you need them? While not always necessary, we highly suggest sending them if your wedding is on a holiday weekend, you have a limited number of rooms available at your venue, or you know your guests will need to make travel arrangements.
Wedding Invitations
when do you send them?
We recommend sending your invitations 3-4 months before your wedding.
Traditionally, wedding invitations represent what the overall aesthetic of your wedding will be. They relay important details and information and allow your guests to plan accordingly for your day. While we appreciate digital invitations, we stick to the classic style by offering tangible keepsakes. Additionally, the unreliability of email makes it difficult to know if your guests actually received your invitation. In saying that, we are on board with having your guests reply online vs. a traditional mail card, but we can discuss which option is best for you.
Day-of Stationery
what do i need for the day?
Divide the day into three: ceremony, table, and reception. We can help determine what’s needed for each.
There are many options for day-of stationery; whether you need it is typically up to you. Best practices include having a seating chart if you’re having a seated meal, placecards if you have meal choices, programs for traditional ceremonies, etc. However, there are many ways you can help your guests have an enjoyable experience using stationery through personal touches like signature cocktail signage and large welcome signs for way-finding.
The rehearsal dinner, thank you cards, and other pretty paper.
there’s more?
There are a few items to consider for before, after, and during the wedding day.
If you’re having a rehearsal dinner, you may want to incorporate the “brand” of your wedding into those pieces as well. We like to carry over the same fonts, papers, etc., throughout all the stationery pieces for a cohesive blend. During the wedding, you may want cards for your wedding party, vow books for the ceremony, and other fun things like napkins. Aside from that, it’s a courtesy to send thank-you cards to your guests for attending your wedding. When do you send thank-you cards? It’s best to send them as soon as possible, but etiquette states up to 12 months.

our process
NO. 1
Gather some inspiration that aligns with your style.
You may have already been on Instagram and noticed something that caught your eye, have combed through our gallery, or know what you want. The first step is to find out what you like, or don’t like – that’s helpful, too.
NO. 2
Let’s work together!
Once you have a rough idea of your style and needs, reach out via our contact page to get started. We currently take a limited number of monthly weddings for invitations and day-of stationery, so reaching out early is always best. We suggest starting the process 8-10 months before the wedding for invitations and 12+ months prior for Save the Dates.
NO. 3
We’ll get back to you within a few days.
Once we receive your proposal request, we’ll get back to you with a detailed estimate within a few days. When you’re ready to move forward, and we receive your deposit and signed contract, we’ll move on to the design phase of the process. You’ll pick your customizations from here and receive a link to your custom client portal, which is where your proofs and other files will live.
NO. 4
Let’s get started on your stationery.
After we receive your wedding details, a proof based on all of the design options you chose will be sent to your client portal for approval. You’ll get to review each piece and discuss the design details and any changes. Once your proof is approved and we receive your guest addresses, you’ll receive a final invoice for the balance due. Once the balance has been paid, production on your stationery begins.
NO. 5
Stamped, Sealed, Delivered! Right to your door.
Typically, production takes 15-30 days, depending on which point of the season we’re in. We are based in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and ship your stationery through Canada Post Xpresspost. You’ll receive a tracking number once the package has been shipped. We also offer a stuffing + sending service for an additional fee, where we’ll mail your invitations to your guests for you and ship the extras to you.
NO. 6
Invites out? Let’s shift the focus to the day of.
We like to think of your wedding as a cohesive brand. Each element compliments the rest of the stationery, from the initial invitation, down to the guest’s placecard. We will discuss day of options with you during the process. If you don’t need our invitations, we can still provide day-of stationery.
